Power characteristics of an unbaffled aerated agitated vessel with unsteadily forward‐reverse rotating impellers, ie a new type of gas–liquid agitator named ‘AJITER’, treating viscous Newtonian liquids were studied experimentally. Measurements were first made on the agitation torque, ie the torque on the drive shaft on which forward–reverse rotating impellers with four delta‐type blades were attached, and the data obtained were analyzed by fitting them to an equation consisting of two terms with respect to the resistance of the fluid, one due to viscous drag and the other due to added moment of inertia. The effects of operating conditions and physical properties of liquids on the drag and added moment of inertia coefficients were then evaluated, and empirical relationships which estimate values of these coefficients, useful to predict the unsteady behavior and magnitude of agitation torque, were presented. Furthermore, equations were developed for estimating the average and maximum power consumptions as a function of the drag and added moment of inertia coefficients. Prediction of respective power levels in AJITER by these equations was also discussed. © 2001 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Supporting both WCDMA with HSDPA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE, the 9.3 times 9.3 mm2 SoC fabricated in triple-Vth 65 nm CMOS, has three CPU cores and 20 separate power domains. Unused power domains can be powered down to reduce the leakage power. Partial clock activation scheme especially focused on music playback scene dynamically stops a PLL and clock trees when not necessary and reduces power consumption from 33.6 mW to 19.6 mW. IP-MMU translates virtual address to physical address for 18 hardware-IPs and virtual address space can be allocated when necessary and can be freed after its operation, reducing external memory by 43 MB. Video performance of D1 (720 times 520) size with 30 frames per second for MPEG/AVC decoding and encoding can be achieved under mixed virtual and physical address usage.  相似文献

In present study, the collapse of void bubble in liquid has been simulated using moving particle semi-implicit (MPS) code. The liquid is described using moving particles and the bubble–liquid interface was set to be vacuum pressure boundary without interfacial heat mass transfer. The topological shape of bubble can be traced according to the motion and location of interfacial particles. The time dependent bubble diameter, interfacial velocity and bubble collapse time were obtained under wide parametric range. The comparison with Rayleigh and Zababakhin's prediction showed a good agreement which validates the applicability and accuracy on MPS method in solving present momentum problems. The potential void induced water hammer pressure pulse was also evaluated which is instructive for further material erosion study. The bubble collapse with non-condensable gas has been further simulated and the rebound phenomenon was successfully captured which is similar with vapor-filled cavitation phenomenon. The present study exhibits some fundamental characteristics of void bubble hydrodynamics and it is also expected to be instructive for further applications of MPS method to complicated bubble dynamics problems.  相似文献

The magnetic susceptibility and the pressure-composition isotherm were measured simultaneously for Pd–Rh–H and Pd–Ag–H systems in order to clarify the effect of Rh or Ag substitution on the hydrogen uptake from viewpoint of the electronic band structure. The magnetic susceptibility of all Pd binary alloys prepared decreased monotonically with increasing hydrogen content. At high hydrogen contents, the magnetic susceptibility became approximately zero for Pd–Rh–H and Pd–Ag–H system, and the hydrogen content at which the magnetic susceptibility gives zero corresponded with the terminal of the plateau region in the isotherm curve. The results indicated that the magnetic susceptibility of hydride phase was almost zero for all Pd binary alloys. On the basis of the band structure of Pd metal, we concluded that atom substitution only affected shift of the energy at Fermi level, and the amount of the hydrogen uptake was dominated by the number of unoccupied d-band in the alloys.  相似文献

These days the number of projects trying to urge a change in the occupant's behaviour towards a sustainable one is increasing. However, still less is known about the effect of such measures. This paper describes the findings of two investigations, a field measurement and an Internet-based survey, both including the dissemination of information about strategies for a high level of comfort without much energy usage. The focus was on the ability to quantify the effect of such measures on the heating and cooling behaviour. As a result, those who participated in a workshop were more likely to change their behaviour than those who received an information brochure only; whether this was due to the method employed or the type of participants could not be ascertained. However, the workshop participants reduced their cooling device usage by up to 16%. The concept of exergy was used to show how this reduction affects the exergy consumption of the cooling device, because it enables us to consider the qualitative aspect of energy as a quantity to be calculated. This showed that the exergy consumed by the workshop group was reduced by up to 20% comparing their behaviour before and after the information dissemination.  相似文献

Bulk heterojunction solar cells utilizing soluble phthalocyanine derivative, 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25-octahexylphthalocyanine (C6PcH2) have been investigated. The active layer was fabricated by spin-coating the mixed solution of C6PcH2 and 1-(3-methoxy-carbonyl)-propyl-1-1-phenyl-(6,6)C61 (PCBM). The photovoltaic properties of the solar cell with bulk heterojunction of C6PcH2 and PCBM demonstrated the strong dependence of active layer thickness, and the optimized active layer thickness was clarified to be 120 nm. By inserting MoO3 hole transport buffer layer between the positive electrode and active layer, the FF and energy conversion efficiency were improved to be 0.50 and 3.2%, respectively. The tandem organic thin-film solar cell has also been studied by utilizing active layer materials of C6PcH2 and poly(3-hexylthiophene) and the interlayer of LiF/Al/MoO3 structure, and a high Voc of 1.27 V has been achieved.  相似文献

Immunoglobulin A1 (IgA1) concentration in the plasma of patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) as the cause of renal failure is higher than that in the plasma of normal controls. IgA1 with abnormal sugars is considered to deposit in the glomerular mesangium, aggravating nephritis in IgAN. Jacalin is a lectin that recognizes sugars on IgA1. However, its selective-recognition for normal-type (ST type, NeuAc-α(2,3)-Gal-β(1,3)-GalNAc) and abnormal-type (T type, Gal-β(1,3)-GalNAc; Tn type, GalNAc; STn type, NeuAc-α(2,6)-GalNAc) sugars α-O-linked to serine/threonine in IgA1 is weak. Therefore, jacalin cannot be used for recognizing specific sugar types on IgA1. We attempted to develop a new recognition method for specific sugar types on IgA1 by utilizing the multirecognition capability of jacalin. Its binding abilities were regulated by heat denaturation with suitable template sugar (galactose or N-acetylgalactosamine). Further, we successfully prepared denatured-jacalin derivatives, which recognized ST-/T-type sugars on IgA1, by sugar-immobilized affinity chromatography. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay of denatured-jacalin derivatives, showed the ratios of abnormal sugars on IgA1 in the plasma of IgAN patients and normal controls to be approximately 60% and 20%, respectively. The results proved that profiling of sugar types in IgAN can successfully be performed by solely using jacalin derivatives.  相似文献

The current work expresses considerations about some of the differences of the fused flux CIS-F10 obtained by means of fragmentation in water and with an air jet. The comparisons are established taking into account their respective granulometric distributions, shapes and grain densities, as well as the energy and the time spent in the process of obtaining each of these variants. Criteria for the physical process of flux fragmentation with an air jet and its influence over the aspects formerly mentioned are also included. The principal findings were that the process for obtaining the fused flux CIS-F10 granulated with an air jet consumes 37% less energy and 25% less time than the one performed with pouring water. The solidness grade of the spherical grains, granulated with air, (with pycnometric density 2.31 g/cm3), with a granulometric distribution more continuous than that of the granules in water, contributes to the increase of the apparent density (11%) of the flux and promotes the creation of artificial granulometric distributions, counteracting the rolling effect during welding.  相似文献

A new composition of hydroxylammonium nitrate based solution containing ammonium nitrate, methanol, and water was developed for monopropellant in a reaction control system (RCS) as an alternative to conventional hydrazine. In comparison with hydrazine, this solution has a 20% higher specific impulse, 1.4 times higher density, and lower freezing point and toxicity. The linear burning rate of the solution is moderate at the operating pressures of RCS thrusters. It was found that the linear burning rate had some characteristics whose mechanisms had not been understood. The combustion mechanism of this solution was investigated. The burning behavior was observed using a medium speed camera, and a temperature profile for the combustion wave was measured with a 2.5 μm diameter thermocouple. From these results, the instability of the liquid-gas interface may trigger a sudden increase in the burning rate, and methanol was found to be effective in reducing the bubble growth rate in the solution. The reactivity of several catalysts was evaluated in an open-cup test, and the S405 catalyst for hydrazine showed the best performance among them. Thruster tests were conducted using the S405 catalyst with variation in the propellant mass flow rate, catalyst bed configuration, and length-to-diameter ratio of the combustor. As a result, parameters were determined that ensured long operating time.
